Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee our apartment community.
Responsibilities
- The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a multifamily apartment complex
- This role requires strong leadership and customer service skills, as well as experience in property management
- The manager will supervise a small team, handle tenant relations, and ensure the efficient operation of the property
- Market apartments, take applications, do credit checks, approve tenants and sign leases
- Collect rents and log on computer
- Deposit rents in the bank
- Handle evictions
- Inspect apartments prior to move in and after move out
- Inspect grounds and apartments on a weekly and/or daily basis
- Handle maintenance calls during business hours and assist after hours if needed
- Ensure all work orders are entered in the system and turned over to maintenance for follow up
- Keep time for all on-site staff and turn in for weekly payroll payment
- Approve all invoices for payment
- Maintain 'Make Ready Log' for vacant apartments being turned
- Supervise all on-site employees and manage the on-site management office operations
- Manage multiple operational systems for various areas of the business
Requirements
- Strong background in property management,
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fundamental knowledge of real estate and fair housing regulations.
- Strong sales skills with a focus on customer relationship management.
- Knowledge of Section 8 guidelines and LIHTC requirements.
- Ability to problem-solve and experience in conflict resolution
