Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual Property Manager to oversee residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, extensive knowledge of property management regulations, and excellent customer service abilities. This role requires a proactive approach to leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations including LIHTC, Fair Housing, and Section 8 programs. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to effectively communicate with diverse tenants, vendors, and team members.

Duties

  • Manage daily operations of multiple properties, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
  • Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to ensure optimal condition of properties
  • Conduct property inspections and oversee repairs using CMMS or other facilities management systems
  • Handle lease agreements, contracts, and legal documentation in compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
  • Utilize Yardi, OneSite, and other property management software for data entry, reporting, and record keeping
  • Facilitate tenant screening processes for Section 8 and other subsidized housing programs
  • Resolve conflicts between tenants or vendors through effective conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Conduct marketing activities such as upselling available units to prospective tenants
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for legal documents, leases, maintenance records, and correspondence
  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to foster positive tenant relationships
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and administrative support related to property management

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management with a focus on LIHTC, Section 8, or affordable housing programs
  • Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, contracts, and legal administrative procedures
  • Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, CMMS systems, and real estate administrative tools
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required for effective communication with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict resolution professionally
  • Office experience with data entry, filing systems, and administrative support functions
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and upsell properties or services effectively
  • Experience in property leasing, sales techniques, facilities management, and property maintenance coordination
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment
