JOB
Duties include receiving, cataloging, storing and retrieving evidence and assuring the integrity of the evidence throughout the judicial process; preparing evidence for court; coordinating the final disposition of property at the conclusion of court action; conducting research to identify owners of found property; and ordering and issuing equipment, clothing and other supplies to officers. Duties will typically require lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to completion of high school and one year of related experience required. This position requires a high level of organizational and detail-oriented skills. Must have, or be able to obtain, NCIC certification and an appropriate Texas driver’s license. Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted. Candidates will be subject to a polygraph exam and criminal history check. Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered. Normal schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm, with the ability to work occasional weekend hours. Applicants must submit hours of availability with
