St. Catherine University is seeking a full-time Prospect Research Officer to join its Institutional Advancement team, supporting the university’s fundraising and development efforts through research and analysis of prospective donors.
The Prospect Researcher is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive program to assist in identifying and researching prospects and donors. This includes collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating information to gift officers and University leadership.
Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Prospect Management
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive prospect, portfolio, and Moves Management (MM) plan.
- Provide monthly reports to vice president regarding complement of prospects in portfolios, time in stage, and other data in support of MM.
- Prospects are organized for MM in a strategic and prioritized system.
Research briefings & meeting preparation
- Prepare current, detailed research briefings on prospects and/or groups of prospects for Senior Vice President, Vice President, Major Gift Officers and other staff as needed.
- Using information gathered in research, update CRM Advance with new information.
Prospect Qualification
- Screen and vet major gift prospects using external tools (e.g. iWave).
- Develop prioritized prospect pools for fundraising assignment.
- Own the organizational structure in CRM Advance for prospect scorings.
Data Management
- Participate and contribute to the formulation of the University’s development planning as it pertains to information systems.
- Update and create the processes and procedures of prospect management and related infrastructure support services (ie. CRM Advance).
- Complete analysis on constituent groups and other data.
- Manage data enhancements and quality initiatives.
