Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Counselor for Ages 6+

Contractor / Fee for Service Pay

• $17.00 - $20.00 per PRP session
• Minimum time length = 15 minutes per session
• Up to $80.00 hourly

Job Description:

• Schedule and meet with the clients you are assigned through phone call / video / in-person / client's home
• Conduct PRP Sessions lasting from 15 minutes to an hour each
• Conduct our Wednesday weekly adult group PRP Sessions in-person at our Joppa clinic
• Drive our patients to and from their homes to our Joppa clinic for our weekly Wednesday PRP adult group session
• Full hourly rate of compensation for an 8 hour day each Wednesday
• Maintain proper and timely session documentation
• Occasionally drive to client's home for an in-person PRP session

Overview
Welcome! Child and Adult Psychiatry is an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic with two locations in Harford County and Towson, MD. Our clinics offer medication, therapy, and PRP counseling to ages 6+. We are seeking a PRP Counselor for our PRP Program. As a PRP Counselor, you would meet with our clients through phone call / video / in-clinic / at client's home appointments. PRP clients are individuals who require more support than just their therapy and medication appointments. Therapy and medication can only go so far. Our PRP Program provides client with additional supportive sessions. This way clients feel supported in-between their already scheduled therapy sessions. We provide training on PRP Counseling.

We are looking for an individual who has a valid drivers license and clean record. The ideal candidate is responsive, empathetic, and knowledgeable about various mental health diagnoses, such as depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. We are looking for someone who wants to stay for a while at Child and Adult Psychiatry and can start soon.

Hours

• Wednesday (Full 8 hour day 9 AM - 5 PM)
• Flexible scheduling
• Most sessions can be done virtually

Responsibilities

• Comfortable with individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' needs
• Discuss coping mechanisms to help with Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD to individuals/ group therapy
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote healing and personal growth
• Maintain timely documentation of sessions
• Encourage group participants to socialize and teach social skills
• Provide compassion and emotional support for patients
