Primary School English Teacher (Grades 3-5)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Primary School English Teacher for Grades 3 to 5 . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the existing English curriculum, ensuring continuity of learning, and maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment for our students at Gurukul High, Sarjapur- Attibele Road.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Effectively plan and deliver lessons for English Language and General Awareness, primarily utilizing the LEAD School ELGA (English Language and General Awareness) books and framework.
• Literacy Instruction: Implement the ELGA methodology, focusing on core components like Phonics, Reading & Listening Comprehension, Writing & Speaking Expression, and Grammar.
• Classroom Management: Manage a classroom of primary students (Grades 3-5) with a focus on active participation, discipline, and a love for reading and writing.
• Assessment & Feedback: Conduct ongoing assessments, including classwork, homework, and unit tests, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding their progress in line with ELGA's skill progression.
• Student Support: Identify and support students needing additional help in foundational English skills.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching English at the primary level (Grades 3-5).
• Curriculum Proficiency: Prior experience with CBSE curriculum is a significant advantage and highly preferred.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Soft Skills: Patience, creativity, adaptability, and a genuine passion for teaching young learners.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
