Role Overview
To educate, inspire, and nurture students' understanding of basic scientific principles, concepts, and processes, while fostering curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning, experiments, and club activities, ultimately preparing students to develop a love for science and collaborative learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction: Deliver engaging science lessons for Classes IV–V, helping students grasp fundamental concepts in physics, chemistry, and biology.
- Hands-on Learning: Design and conduct simple experiments and demonstrations to illustrate scientific principles and encourage inquiry-based learning.
- Club Coordination: Organize and oversee science-related clubs or co-curricular activities, fostering teamwork, creativity, and student participation.
- Assessment: Evaluate student understanding through quizzes, assignments, and observations, providing constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- Curriculum Implementation: Ensure alignment of lessons and activities with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
- Student Engagement: Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science through interactive sessions, group projects, and club initiatives.
- Classroom Environment: Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore scientific ideas.

- Syllabi Completion: 100% of the prescribed science syllabus for Classes IV–V to be covered and documented in the syllabi format.
- Improvement of All Students: Each student should demonstrate at least a 10% improvement from the first to subsequent internal assessments.
- Club Participation: At least 75% of students actively participating in club activities and demonstrating engagement, creativity, or teamwork.
Skills
Strong subject knowledge in elementary science, effective classroom management, creativity in club activities, student engagement, mentoring, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or General Science).
- B.Ed. (mandatory).
- Experience teaching primary school science preferred.
