1. Classroom Teaching & Learning
- Deliver age-appropriate lessons for Classes I–V as per the school curriculum and NEP guidelines.
- Create engaging, activity-based learning experiences to build foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
- Use teaching aids, smart class tools, and experiential methods to enhance understanding.
2. Student Development
- Foster holistic development — academic, emotional, social, and moral.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support whenever required.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, participation, and confidence in students.
3. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline, hygiene, and a positive classroom environment.
- Ensure safety and well-being of all students during class hours.
- Keep the classroom, learning materials, and displays organized.
4. Assessments & Evaluation
- Conduct regular class tests, worksheets, oral assessments, and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate academic performance to parents.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare lesson plans, yearly planners, worksheets, and teaching aids.
- Maintain student attendance, progress reports, and anecdotal records.
- Submit academic documentation to the coordinator/Headmistress on time.
6. Communication
- Regularly interact with parents during PTMs and through school communication channels.
- Address queries and concerns related to student learning and behaviour.
7. Participation in School Activities
- Coordinate and assist in events such as assemblies, competitions, celebrations, field trips, and annual functions.
- Support school committees and assigned duties as required.
8. Professional Conduct & Development
- Follow school policies, code of conduct, and timelines.
- Upgrade teaching skills through workshops, trainings, and CBSE/NEP-related programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons and share best practices.
