Psychiatric APRN or MD

Job Description:

We are seeking a Per Diem Psychiatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner or MD with a Psychiatric specialty to join our team at Marriage and Family Services in-person in our new Stuart office! This role requires someone with training in treating children and adolescents. Spanish speaking clinician preferred!

We are currently looking for 4-8 hours per week, however our Psychiatric program is growing rapidly and these hours will also grow.

Depending on the applicant's credentials, this role may require collaboration with our Medical Director/Psychiatrist according to protocol for providing diagnostic and interventional patient care. These duties include but are not limited to comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, evaluation, and on-going treatment for behavioral health clients.

An ARNP must be authorized to provide these services in accordance with chapter 464, F.S. and protocols filed with the Florida Board of Nursing. An MD must have credentials/specialty in Psychiatry with an emphasis on working with children/adolescents.

Job Description :

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats individuals with psychiatric and substance disorders across the lifespan
• Consult with the psychiatrist and behavioral health staff in designing treatment plan for clients
• Document patient information on medical charts and follow physician’s written orders
• Assist clients with understanding their diagnoses, treatment needs, and collaborating with family members as needed
• Administer and document patient reaction to psychotropic drugs and other medications
• Connects patients with an agency staff members for additional therapeutic treatment as necessary
• May assist in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services as the Stuart office grows
• Arrange further medical attention for clients when necessary
• Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations

The following MUST be the required skills for a candidate to be considered:

• 3+ years of Psychiatric Nursing experience within an Adult and Child Outpatient Psychiatric setting
• Active FL state Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Medical Doctor (MD) license
• Holds a valid, active, and clear DEA number with the state of Florida
• Active individual Medicaid and Medicare number or must be willing to obtain immediately upon employment (agency will provide credentialing services)
• General understanding of Medicaid documentation documents and adherence to the policy
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Client Centered
• Spanish-speaking provider (preferred)

Job Type: 1099 contractor

Location: This is an in-person role, with some telehealth. Provider may choose to have one or two days via telehealth as needed. The in-person role will start effective May 1, 2026 as we open our new Stuart, FL office space. Provider will have a dedicated office space to provide services.

Hours: Hours are flexible based on provider's schedule. We ask for 4-8 hours a week to start (with preference for candidates with some evening or weekend availability). This is a growing position and may require more hours based on need. Provider will give administrative staff their schedule/availability at least one month in advance to ensure proper scheduling.

Salary: APRN starts at $90 per hour, MD starts at $175 per hour
