Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology and psychotherapy techniques.
- Prescribe medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and other psychiatric drugs following best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across behavioral health, primary care, and specialty services.
- Provide patient education on medication management, coping strategies, and lifestyle modifications to support mental health stability.
- Document clinical encounters accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing mental health services.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to diverse populations including children, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation (ICD-10 coding), and clinical assessment tools.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to provide remote psychiatric consultations effectively.
- Ability to perform physical examinations when necessary and manage acute psychiatric crises confidently.

Pay: $45.00 - $124,894.52 per hour
