Job Description:
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with strong clinical competence and a passion for evidence-based, integrative mental health care. In this role, you will provide direct psychiatric evaluation and medication management for child, adolescent and adult clients. You’ll work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD and related disorders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for child, adolescent and adult clients, including medication management as clinically indicated.
- Provide therapeutic interventions when clinically appropriate to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments to create and maintain high-quality, individualized treatment plans reflecting best practices in psychopharmacology and CBT-informed care.
- Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including therapists, social workers, and psychologists, to provide integrated care.
- Maintain 24/7 availability to answer calls regarding client psychiatric emergencies or medication reactions requiring immediate attention.
- Communicate and collaborate with each client’s care team, including families and external providers, to ensure continuity and alignment of treatment.
- Adhere to all state, federal and ethical laws, regulations and standards for psychiatric practice, patient care, documentation and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the medication management practice to ensure consistent delivery of high quality care.
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
- Provide resources, support and referrals to external services when appropriate.
- Complete all required trainings and actively seek continuing education to stay informed of evidence-based practices and treatment protocols for anxiety, OCD and related disorders.
- Serve as a Practice Ambassador and effectively represent the Practice’s mission, values, culture, and policies to internal and external stakeholders.

Hybrid Schedule:
The PMHNP will primarily provide in-person care, including psychiatric assessments, medication management and crisis intervention, at the designated office location(s). In addition, the role includes remote telepsychiatry services (e.g., follow-up appointments, consultations and care coordination) as clinically appropriate and in accordance with patient needs.
This hybrid model prioritizes face-to-face clinical engagement while leveraging telehealth to enhance flexibility, access and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing with a focus on psychiatric care
- National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Active Illinois APRN licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric clinical experience
- Comfort treating clients across the lifespan (child, adolescent and adult populations)
