Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments utilizing clinical research methods and diagnostic tools such as ICD-10 coding systems.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, behavioral health strategies, and patient education.
- Prescribe and manage medications with expertise in psychotropic agents, including those requiring specialized knowledge like botulinum toxin treatment for certain conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs such as acute pain management, geriatrics, dementia care, or substance use disorders.
- Utilize EMR systems AdvancedMD to document patient encounters accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide telehealth services leveraging telehealth experience to reach patients in remote or underserved areas.
- Provider in office visits for initial and follow up patients.
- Engage in case management activities including discharge planning, utilization review, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
Experience
- Proven experience working within behavioral health settings with a strong foundation in psychiatric assessment and medication management.
- Prior clinical practice involving diverse populations such as children (pediatrics), seniors (geriatrics), or individuals in assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes and familiarity with Workers' Compensation law enhances operational efficiency.
- Experience managing acute and chronic behavioral health diagnosis.

Pay: $104,185.52 - $118,470.73 per year
