Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are a growing virtual psychiatric practice dedicated to expanding access to high-quality mental health care throughout California. We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our collaborative team. In this fully remote role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy services to a diverse patient population — all from the comfort of your California-based home office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments via telehealth
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services (supportive, CBT, solution-focused, or other modalities within scope)
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with California law and best practices
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients
• Coordinate care with collaborating physician and multidisciplinary team members as needed
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and manage follow-up care
• Provide patient education and support around diagnosis, medications, and wellness strategies
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements and maintain confidentiality across all telehealth interactions

Qualifications

Required

• Current, unrestricted California RN and APRN/NP license
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through ANCC or equivalent certifying body
• Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
• Current California resident — must reside and practice within the state of California
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a private, HIPAA-compliant home workspace
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems

Preferred

• 1+ year of post-certification PMHNP clinical experience (new graduates with strong clinical training are welcome to apply)
• Experience delivering psychotherapy services (individual or group)
• Familiarity with telehealth-specific best practices and virtual care platforms
• Experience treating adults.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred but not required)
