Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with careful consideration of patient needs, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for remote or underserved populations.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives related to psychopharmacology or behavioral health interventions to advance evidence-based practices.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all patient information throughout the care process.
Experience
- Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current Colorado state licensure.
- Has DEA Lic. and or eligible to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those in assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and clinical workflows.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering remote psychiatric services is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles including medication management for anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments involving vital signs measurement.
Work environment and schedule- This is primarily an in person role. There is some flexibility to work remote occasionally. Contractor level autonomy while scheduling within practice guidelines. Must carry general liability insurance of 1,000,000/3,000,000.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
