Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Access Ohio, one of the leading community behavioral health agencies in Central Ohio is hiring full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners for our locations throughout the Columbus Area.

We are looking for a PMHNP who will see both children ages 6 & up and adults.

Requirements and Competencies:

• Assess and complete psychiatric evaluations to determine the best course of treatment appropriate to patient needs.
• Manage and prescribe psychiatric medications
• Examine and order laboratory and diagnostic tests for patients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorder.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, Counselors and other treatment team members to coordinate patient care.
• Ability to prepare assessments, document progress notes in EMR
• Report to Medical Director and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Background check upon hire.
• Clean urine drug screen (zero tolerance policy).

Education/ Experience/ Licenses/ Certifications:

• Masters Degree in Nursing
• Current credentialing as a Certified PMHNP with license to practice and prescribe under Ohio Board of Nursing
• Previous experience in substance abuse and/or mental health setting desirable.

Pay: From $55.00 per hour
