Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health care to our patients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to improving the mental well-being of individuals across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Administer psychopharmacological treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services as appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed.
• Stay current with best practices in psychiatric care, including telehealth services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health.
• Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Experience in behavioral health settings is preferred; experience with perinatal population is a value add.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as KIPU.
• Understanding of various specialties including perinatal clients.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $105.00 - $145.00 per hour
