Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for diverse patient populations, including children, adults, seniors, and individuals with complex psychiatric needs. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, and risk assessments using advanced EMR systems.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy referrals, and lifestyle modifications aligned with best practices in behavioral health.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, and medications for pscychiatic conditions, acute pain management or other comorbid conditions.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists (such as neurologists or geriatricians), and case managers to coordinate holistic patient care across inpatient, outpatient, telehealth, and home care settings.
- Provide crisis intervention and triage for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication adherence, and wellness strategies while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of assessments, treatment plans, medication administration records (MAR), CPT coding for billing purposes, and other clinical records following NCQA standards.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Colorado.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including: geriatrics (memory care/dementia care) and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is highly desirable. Our cliic uses Valant.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to mental health medications including botulinum toxin treatment or dermal fillers is a plus.
- Experience in Ketamine treatments preferred
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing or sonography when necessary.

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
