Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
• Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and other interventions as appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment progress.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience,
• Proven experience working with behavioral health patients across age groups, including children and geriatrics.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, psychopharmacology, and medication management protocols.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for seamless documentation.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, mental status exams, and physical examinations when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients about their care plans.
• Experience with telehealth platforms to deliver remote mental health services efficiently.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and secure medical records management.
• Willing to assit in the credentialing process

Pay: $57,000.00 - $57,600.00 per year
