We are looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)- here, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health care to diverse patient populations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. You will provide psychiatric assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and support patients across outpatient and inpatient settings. We are seeking a motivated professional with a passion for mental health and a drive to promote wellness through innovative care strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments using clinical research methods and medical terminology.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy options, and behavioral health interventions aligned with HIPAA regulations and clinical guidelines.
  • Prescribe and manage medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and botulinum toxin treatments where applicable, ensuring proper medication administration and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care across settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or outpatient clinics.
  • Utilize EHR system to document care appropriately and thoroughly.
  • Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health resources using telemedicine platforms with experience in telehealth systems.

Skills

  • Experience navigating EHR systems.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology including ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation.
  • Skilled in performing physical examinations, vital signs assessment, venipuncture, IV infusion/insertion techniques, catheterization, sterile processing procedures, and specimen collection/processing.
  • Experience working in a collaborative care model.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education on topics.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour
