Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will deliver expert psychiatric care to patients across various settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs. Your expertise will help patients manage mental health conditions, and support their journey toward recovery.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk evaluations.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans focused on mental health stabilization.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current licensure in the state of practice.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration, and clinical assessment techniques.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to provide remote psychiatric services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral health treatment modalities including trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
