Serenity Behavioral Health is seeking a PMHNP to provide medication management and psychotherapy services for our clients.
Serenity provides personalized intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient services for teens and young adults 14-28. We are a small privately owned facility and are licensed by DDAP and DHS for primary mental health and primary substance use services but primary provide MH services. (In network with most insurers)
Hours:
Part time/Fee for service
5-10 hours a week to start with opportunity for more hours (typically 1 day a week on Thurs).
Thursday availability required for IOP clients. Some OP clients can be scheduled any day of the week based on provider/client availability.
Afterschool availability required.
Pay:
Fee for service approx $100-$250 hr
Responsibilities
- Provides E&M services to clients, which may consist of evaluation, medication check follow ups and psychotherapy.
- Comprehensive evaluations including but not limited to making DSM V diagnosis, assessing medical, social and environmental factors that support the diagnosis, providing clear justification for prescribing medications
- Makes client’s referral and recommendations for alternative LOC when needed.
- Communicate with collateral contacts including schools, family members, legal system, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and treatment facilities.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is completed in a timely fashion as specified in the clinician handbook.
- Address client issues in a timely fashion including crisis and higher level of care referrals.
- Provide clinical team with regular updates.
- Complete Medication authorizations (Typically handled by our admin staff)
Additional responsibilities
- Review and sign clinical documentation/treatment plans as required
- Attend clinical staff meetings - Every other weds 10-10:45am
Admin/Clinical support provided by Serenity:
- Medication authorization support/completion
- Comprehensive biopsychosocial are typically completed by our clinical staff prior to 1st E&M appointment
- Consultation with supervising psychiatrist when needed and during staff meetings.
- Admin support for scheduling/phone calls/follow ups/prescription requests etc.
- User friendly electronic health records including integrated telehealth application, eprescribing integrated/customized paperwork reducing time spend on clinical documentation.
- Other as needed/requested
Education/Licensure requirements:
- Must possess an active, unrestricted license issued by the State of PA
- PMHNP -BC
- Unrestricted DEA license addressed in Pennsylvania (preferred)
- Active prescriptive authority (Must have own outside collaborating MD or Serenity's supervising psychiatrist may be avail as a collaborating for a monthly fee)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certifications (Preferred)
- PA background check, child abuse clearance, FBI background
- ACT 31 (child abuse reporting) training
- Malpractice insurance
