Plum Tree Psychology is a privat practice located in St. Charles, IL.

We are a collection of practitioners who provide therapy and medication management for kids. We conduct psychological and neuropsychological testing for academic, diagnostic, and clinical disorders.

Our team includes specialists for Tourette’s, PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder. Developmental delays, impaired self-esteem, grief, academic under-performance, and family struggles are all within our purview to support. Services also include ADHD Coaching and Transition Support from high school to college/career.

Our team also includes experts that can help parents understand school support systems and how to advocate for their child in both public and private school. We help kids control behaviors, understand feelings, and manage thoughts.

The Ideal Candidate
Patients are primarily 3 – 25 years old. Parents are almost always involved in treatment and most sessions are in-person. We have a cozy, professional setting. Scheduling, electronic medical records, billing, marketing, and supplies are all provided. Candidate must have a license to practice psychotherapy in Illinois as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and your DEA. Candidates must demonstrate passion for continued personal development, as evidenced by staying up-to-date on research and clinical trends and practices.

  • Provide psychiatric medication management to patients with various mental health conditions
  • Administer and monitor psychopharmacology medications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
  • Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.

  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat children who may have mild, moderate, or severe psychiatric symptoms.

  • Awareness of cultural diversity
  • Ability to provide constructive and collaborative peer feedback/support
  • Exceptional ability to provide psychoeducation to parents and families
  • Exceptional ability to support development of behavioral modification plans for parents to use at home
  • Ability to identify needs for referrals for ancillary and augmented evaluation/care
  • Must adhere to legal, ethical, and professional standards of care
  • Must pass a background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100.00 - $200.00 per hour
