Empower Mind is a highly rated outpatient mental health practice based in Frisco, TX, offering psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults. Known for compassionate care and excellent patient satisfaction, we are expanding our clinical team and seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to deliver high-quality psychiatric treatment in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

We support both in-person roles at our Frisco clinic and telehealth positions for Texas-licensed providers. We are new graduate friendly and offer mentorship and ongoing collaboration.

Position Summary

This is an independent contractor (1099) position with a pay-per-visit (commission-based) model. You'll have full control over your schedule, the option to work remotely via telehealth, on-site, or a hybrid setup, and access to full administrative support including scheduling, billing, insurance verification, and EHR systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and mood disorders
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications (collaborating psychiatrist available as needed)
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication options, and coping strategies
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in our provided EHR system
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff
• Provide care either on-site in Frisco, TX or through secure telehealth platforms

✅ Qualifications

• Licensure:
• Active Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• PMHNP-BC certification preferred for Nurse Practitioners
• Mental health experience preferred for Physician Assistants
• Multi-state licensure is a plus (for expanded telehealth eligibility)
• Education:
• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
• Psychiatric/mental health focus or strong interest required
• Experience:
• All experience levels welcome — new graduates encouraged to apply
• Experience with outpatient psychiatry, telepsychiatry, or behavioral health is a plus
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities
• Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism in patient care
• Ability to work independently in a productivity-based model
