About Us

At Impireum Health & Wellness, we are redefining psychiatric and integrative care by blending evidence-based medicine with whole-person wellness. Our growing team of PMHNPs, PAs, LPCs, and integrative health providers is dedicated to caring for patients across all ages children, adolescents, and adults. We are seeking a contract Psychiatrist (1099) to serve as a supervising and mentoring physician for our providers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a retired or semi-retired psychiatrist who still wants to make an impact without the demands of a daily clinic schedule.

Position Overview

The Supervising Psychiatrist will provide oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to our psychiatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants. This role focuses on supervision, case consultation, and mentorship rather than direct patient load or administrative burden.

• Employment type: Independent Contractor (1099)
• Schedule: Flexible—Full-time, Part-time, or PRN (as needed)
• Location: Hybrid (Houston, TX office + telehealth supervision available)

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and mentorship to PMHNPs and PAs managing child, adolescent, and adult patients
• Review and co-sign charts as required by Texas state regulations
• Participate in case discussions and provide clinical guidance for complex presentations
• Serve as a clinical mentor, helping shape the next generation of psychiatric providers
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure quality, patient-centered psychiatric care

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry (Child/Adolescent and/or Adult Psychiatry preferred)
• Active and unrestricted Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA registration in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical psychiatric experience
• Prior supervisory/mentorship experience strongly preferred
• Retired or semi-retired psychiatrists encouraged to apply

Compensation

• Competitive 1099 contractor rates (commensurate with experience and level of supervision required)
