Part-Time Psychiatrist / Medical Director – TMS Program

MacKenzie Counseling & Consultation Services (MCCS) is expanding its evidence-based treatment offerings to include Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for individuals with Major Depressive Disorder. We are seeking a Psychiatrist/Medical Director to provide medical oversight and clinical leadership for this innovative program.

Beginning with just 5 hours a month, Medical Director will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team—including a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, psychotherapists, and TMS technicians—to ensure the safe and effective delivery of TMS therapy. Key responsibilities include reviewing and co-signing psychiatric evaluations, confirming patient eligibility, approving treatment plans, providing consultative input on complex cases, and ensuring compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.

This position is primarily administrative and supervisory, requiring minimal direct patient care. Free TMS training and certification are provided through our partnership with the device manufacturer.

The ideal candidate is a board-certified psychiatrist with an active Maryland medical license and an interest in neuromodulation, mood disorders, and interventional psychiatry.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry; post-residency experience preferred.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $1,043.09 - $1,256.19 per week

Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
