Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing psychological assessments, therapy, and support to individuals facing various mental health challenges. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The Psychologist will work at an inpatient psych services and weekly oversight mid level practitioners.

Duties

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine the mental health needs of patients.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services tailored to individual patient requirements.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies for patients in acute distress.
  • Offer addiction counseling to support individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
  • Supervise and mentor interns or junior staff as needed.
  • Engage in psychological testing to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Work effectively with children, including those on the autism spectrum or with other developmental disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques and crisis intervention methods.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or disabilities.
  • Knowledge of psychological testing methodologies and interpretation of results.
  • Ability to supervise and guide less experienced staff or interns effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
  • A deep understanding of addiction counseling principles and practices.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in psychology.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8,000.00 - $20,000.00 per month
