Job description

Full-Time Psychiatrist (Outpatient/TMS) - Dual Location Oversight

We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Psychiatrist to join our growing outpatient mental health practice, providing clinical leadership and direct patient care across two conveniently located clinics within Brooklyn, NY. This pivotal role focuses on the adult outpatient population and includes a strong emphasis on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership & Oversight: Provide psychiatric leadership locations, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
  • Direct Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and evidence-based psychotherapy for a diverse adult outpatient caseload.
  • TMS Services: Lead and oversee the TMS program, including patient selection, treatment planning, protocol adjustments, and monitoring outcomes. Experience with TMS is highly preferred; training may be provided for exceptional candidates. (Tms experience is a plus but not mandatory.)
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nurse practitioners, and support staff, to coordinate holistic patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to optimize clinical services and patient outcomes across both sites.

Qualifications

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
  • Licensure: Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of [Insert State Name].
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN).
  • Experience: Prior experience in an outpatient setting treating adults is required. Experience with TMS administration/supervision is a significant asset.
  • Skills: Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and communication skills. Ability to manage the clinical demands of a dual-site role.
  • Credentialing having having New York State Medicaid, active status is mandatory.
