Psychiatrist

High Desert Healing is expanding our Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Program and seeking a contract Psychiatrist to perform TMS motor threshold mappings and related clinical evaluations. This role is ideal for a Psychiatrist who values flexible scheduling, collaborative work, and impactful mental health care.

Position Overview

The Contract Psychiatrist will conduct TMS motor threshold mappings for patients approved for TMS therapy and provide clinical oversight related to the initiation of treatment. The psychiatrist will also perform billable services associated with these mappings; such as intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, or treatment reviews receiving 70% of billable revenue for those services.

This is a great opportunity for a Psychiatrist who wants supplemental income with minimal administrative burden and full control over their schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform TMS motor threshold (MT) mappings for new TMS patients.
• Conduct clinical intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations as required.
• Collaborate with TMS technicians and clinical staff to ensure accurate treatment parameters.
• Provide clinical oversight and recommendations for patient suitability, treatment adjustments, or safety considerations.
• Maintain proper documentation consistent with NM standards and HDH policies.
• Communicate professionally with patients, therapists, and administrative team members as needed.

Compensation

• $600–$700 per patient for each completed reimbursable mapping (based on experience).
• 70% of revenue generated from other billable services related to TMS (e.g., intake assessments, psychiatric evaluations).
• Paid as a 1099 independent contractor.

Schedule & Work Environment

• 1–2 days per week (with the opportunity for more days if wanted), depending on your availability.
• Extremely flexible scheduling; choose the days/times that fit your practice.
• On-site at High Desert Healing, a modern mental health and wellness clinic with a supportive, collaborative staff.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified Psychiatrist
• Active New Mexico medical license in good standing.
• Experience with TMS preferred however it is not required extensive training will be provided.
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort working with patients experiencing depression, anxiety, and related conditions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: $600.00 - $700.00 per hour
