Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans to support mental well-being across diverse populations. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and mental health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and other therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, ensuring continuity of care across settings.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage urgent psychiatric situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including hospital staff, social workers, and primary care providers.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure timely updates of medical records.
- Engage in patient education, intake processes, and ongoing mental health counseling to promote recovery and resilience.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to expand access to psychiatric services, ensuring quality care regardless of location.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Post-residency experience in behavioral health settings, including inpatient, outpatient, or clinic environments.
- Proven expertise in pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and psychopharmacology principles.
- Experience with crisis management, mental health counseling, and psychotherapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and electronic health records systems (EHR).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security.
- Telehealth experience is preferred to facilitate remote patient engagement across diverse settings.
