Psychiatrist, Clinical and Supervisory Role

LocalMD Psychiatry is a prominent telemedicine practice and we continue to work hand in hand with our staff and providers to transform access to high-quality mental health care. Our team continues to grow, offering access to high-quality mental health care without the high cost, wait times, and stigma to New York State residents.

This is a fully remote position. We are looking for a full time or part time, Board Certified, Psychiatrist, licensed with DEA in NY to join our team to help service our patients. Candidates MUST ALSO BE ENROLLED IN NY MEDICAID.

This role calls for both clinical and supervisory duties. Supervision will be an added compensation to clinical hours and you are paid for the day not for the patients seen.

We are seeking candidates with good communication skills, well versed with using technology, empathetic, up to date with clinical knowledge, and work well with others.

As part of our practice, we strive for a healthy work-life balance. Our office staff are always available to help you navigate, coordinate and communicate with patients as well as other office departments or providers. Our practice administrators will provide as much framework as you need to thrive in this practice.

The right candidate will be thoroughly trained with our EMR (we use eClinicalWorks) and will be provided with a dedicated assistant through out their work days, full clinical, administrative and technical support.

Your schedule would be derived based on your availability, we are flexible.

Job Description:

  • Performing psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management of clients
  • Prescribing or recommending medication, including controlled substances, or other forms of treatment or related therapeutic procedures
  • Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess clients' clinical problems and health care needs
  • Ordering laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures
  • Referring clients to specialized health resources for treatment
  • Performing crisis intervention
  • Communicating with healthcare professionals, families, and staff members to ensure ongoing quality delivery of health services

What is required of you:

· NY DEA

· NY Medicaid enrollment

· Board certification

· License in NY

· Computer literate

· Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred but not required.

· Bilingual is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Projected Total Compensation: $100,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
