Psychiatrist - Community Based

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various psychiatric disciplines, including experience with children and adolescents, and a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities and PTSD, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting thorough patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in intake processes and ongoing patient care management.
  • Provide addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations as required to expand access to care.
  • Conduct data collection for quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.

Experience

  • Board certification in Psychiatry is required; post-residency experience preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric psychiatry or working with children is highly desirable.
  • Hospital experience is a plus, particularly in inpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with mental health counseling techniques and psychopharmacology is essential.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and geriatric populations is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation practices is necessary.
  • Previous involvement in outpatient clinic settings is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of PTSD care strategies and behavioral health interventions is preferred.

Pay: $215.00 - $230.00 per hour
