Psychiatrist Cum Medical Director | Hybrid

Savant Care Inc. owns and runs a network of high-tech outpatient behavioral health clinics. To assist and enhance patient outcomes, we create and employ technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile apps. Started in California by Stanford-trained psychiatrists, and we are growing to include more clinics and professionals to join our team. We are seeking Psychiatrists (Full time & part time) for our patient panel.

Position Overview:

The Medical Director serves as the clinical leader and psychiatric authority at Savant Care. This role combines direct patient care with administrative, supervisory, and operational leadership. You will shape clinical policy, guide quality improvement, mentor clinical staff, and collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure excellent patient outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Leadership & Supervision.
• Oversee onboarding and training of new clinical staff (policies, procedures, compliance).
• Conduct weekly meetings and ongoing engagement with the clinical team.
• Implement and manage peer review processes and continuing education for clinicians.
• Provide direct patient care as needed (waitlist support, emergency coverage, provider absences).
• Review clinical applicant files and support recruitment processes.
• Write and update clinical policies and procedures.
• Collaborate regularly with the Savant Care Administrator to address operational matters.
• Participate in scheduled and ad-hoc administrative and policy meetings.
• Engage with Savant Care’s Research & Development team to align innovation with clinical practices.
• Support marketing strategies from a clinical perspective.
• Participate in meetings with Savant Care’s legal team as needed.
• Review and respond to clinical complaints in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assess mental health diagnoses.
• Develop personalized treatment plans (including medication management and therapy coordination).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and treatment outcomes.
• Refer patients within Savant Care when appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals for holistic patient care
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners.

Qualifications:

• Must be fully licensed with MD or DO degree
• Must be licensed in California
• Residency in Psychiatry and an active DEA license.
