Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various psychiatric disciplines and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing therapy and medication management.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management.
- Administer psychopharmacological treatments and monitor patient responses to medications.
- Offer specialized care for patients with PTSD, addiction issues, and developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in telehealth consultations as needed to expand access to care.
- Participate in data collection for quality improvement initiatives within the clinic or hospital setting.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to residents or interns as appropriate.
Skills
- Strong background in psychiatry with post-residency experience preferred.
- Proficiency in pediatric psychiatry and experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices, including outpatient clinic experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and intake processes.
- Experience in crisis management and addiction counseling is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including geriatric populations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
