We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Bilingual: English and Spanish Required.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adults.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy), and other evidence-based interventions.
- Manage medication regimens responsibly, ensuring safe prescribing practices in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Provide crisis management and acute care for patients experiencing mental health emergencies or PTSD symptoms, including inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document patient progress, and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards such as HIPAA.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services for remote or underserved populations.
- Participate in intake assessments, ongoing patient monitoring, and follow-up visits to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges to deliver tailored therapeutic interventions.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychiatry with a focus on pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, or behavioral health preferred.
- Proven ability to perform diagnostic evaluations across diverse populations using medical terminology and data collection techniques.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, crisis management strategies, and addiction counseling methods.
- Skilled in providing psychotherapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Experience working within hospital or inpatient settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms to deliver remote psychiatric services effectively.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving PTSD care, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, medical documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
