Psych Matters is a rapidly growing psychiatry and therapy practice serving patients throughout Texas and New York, offering integrated psychiatric care, therapy, and innovative mental health services through both in-person and telehealth platforms. We are expanding into the Corpus Christi market and are seeking a motivated, patient-centered Psychiatrist to help establish and grow our presence in the region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a psychiatrist who enjoys clinical leadership, practice growth, and collaborative care. The ideal candidate is comfortable supervising Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) while helping build a thriving outpatient behavioral health program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, PAs, and support staff
• Provide clinical supervision and collaborative oversight for advanced practice providers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical program development
• Support growth initiatives in the Corpus Christi market

QualificationsRequired

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA registration
• Experience treating adult psychiatric conditions including:
• Depression
• Anxiety Disorders
• Bipolar Disorder
• ADHD
• PTSD
• Other common psychiatric diagnoses
• Willingness and ability to supervise PMHNPs and/or Psychiatric PAs

Preferred

• Experience supervising advanced practice providers
• Interest in leadership and practice development
• Experience with telepsychiatry
• Community-minded and entrepreneurial mindset
