Psych Matters is a rapidly expanding outpatient psychiatry and therapy organization serving patients throughout Texas and New York. Our integrated care model combines psychiatry, therapy, telehealth, and innovative mental health technologies to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. We currently operate multiple Houston-area locations and are continuing our growth across Texas.

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist who is passionate about patient care, enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and is willing to provide supervision for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and/or Psychiatric Physician Assistants (PAs).

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities while helping shape the future of mental healthcare in Houston.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
• Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric care
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with therapists, PMHNPs, PAs, and support staff
• Supervise PMHNPs and/or Psychiatric PAs in accordance with Texas regulations
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
• Participate in practice growth and provider mentorship
• Deliver care through both in-person and telehealth platforms

QualificationsRequired

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Active DEA registration
• Experience treating common psychiatric conditions including:
• Depression
• Anxiety Disorders
• ADHD
• Bipolar Disorder
• PTSD
• OCD
• Mood Disorders
• Willingness to supervise PMHNPs and/or PAs

Preferred

• Experience supervising advanced practice providers
• Outpatient psychiatry experience
• Telepsychiatry experience
• Interest in clinical leadership and mentorship
• Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help grow a practice
