Psychiatrist Medical Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric oversight for PHP services in accordance with Magellan Medicaid requirements
• Conduct or supervise psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Participate in regular case review and multidisciplinary treatment planning
• Ensure appropriate psychopharmacologic treatment and clinical documentation standards
• Provide consultation availability during program hours
• Support compliance with state, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and clinical leadership team

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with completion of accredited Psychiatry residency
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Idaho medical license
• DEA registration
• Current backgroundcheck
• Experience in behavioral health, PHP, IOP, or outpatient psychiatric settings preferred
• Familiarity with Medicaid populations and documentation standards

Position Structure:

• Part-time (approximately 4–8 hours per week; flexible schedule)
• Telehealth eligible
• Contract position
• Pay scale can be discussed and is flexible
