Psychiatrist - Part Time - Outpatient

Visit lengths: 60 minute initial evaluations. 20 to 30 minute med-management follow ups.

About the role

Provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adult patients in an outpatient clinic. Most patients present with depression, anxiety, bipolar spectrum, trauma-related conditions, and ADHD. You will focus on evidence-based care, clear communication, and timely documentation.

What you will do

• Complete 60 minute psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for new adult patients.
• Conduct 20 to 30 minute follow up visits for medication management.
• Create and update treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with attention to safety and side effects.
• Coordinate care with therapists, primary care, and care managers as needed.
• Document visits in the EHR on the same day of service.
• Order labs and review results when clinically indicated.
• Participate in brief case consults with the clinical team when helpful.
• Follow clinic policies, state regulations, and HIPAA.

Candidate qualifications

• MD or DO in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted state license.
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active DEA registration.
• Outpatient experience with adult populations.
• Comfortable treating common conditions. Examples include major depression, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and adjustment disorders.
• Proficient with EHRs and concise documentation.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.

Nice to have

• Interest in measurement-based care.
• Familiarity with brief supportive and motivational interventions.

Work schedule and volume

• One 8 hour clinic day per week.
• Mix of new evaluations and follow ups based on clinic need.
• Built-in documentation time to support same-day notes.

Compensation

• Competitive hourly rate. Paid as a contractor.
• Occurance based malpractice coverage will be provided at no cost to the provider.
• No benefits are provided for this contractor role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $200.00 - $210.00 per hour
