Psychiatrist - Residential

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions in patients of all ages, with a focus on providing comprehensive care through evidence-based practices. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Duties

• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Provide therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to patients as appropriate.
• Manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients, including referrals to other specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in psychiatric practices, particularly in geriatrics and pediatric psychiatry.
• Participate in post-residency training opportunities to enhance clinical skills.

Experience

• Completion of a residency in Psychiatry is required; post-residency experience is preferred.
• Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with geriatric psychiatry is a plus.
• Strong skills in crisis management and diagnostic evaluation are essential.
• Knowledge of inhalation therapy techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of psychiatry is expected.
