Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various psychiatric practices, including pediatric psychiatry, and experience working with diverse populations. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans to support individuals facing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Manage medication regimens, including psychopharmacology for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in crisis management and provide support for patients experiencing acute mental health issues.
  • Offer addiction counseling and support for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote psychiatric services as needed.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis to improve treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Psychiatry.
  • Post-residency experience preferred, particularly in pediatric psychiatry or geriatrics.
  • Proven experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing PTSD.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health practices and mental health counseling techniques.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation practices, and medical records management.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a clinical setting.
