Psychiatry Physician

The Physician collaborates with the Team Leader for a fully staffed ACT which serves an SPMI/dual diagnosis population. Staffing includes RNs, therapists, case managers, SUD counselors, and RSS. The Physician's core role includes diagnosis, collaborating in multidisciplinary treatment planning, ordering and reviewing lab work, and prescribing. The Physician provides clinical consultation regarding crisis intervention and mechanisms to prevent crisis situations. This is completely outpatient. Scheduling frequency of visits and amount of time for a visit are based on clinical judgements, not on quotas. The MD for whom we are seeking coverage may go into the community on average 1x/week. However, during this interim coverage, in office work would be the priority."
