Psychologist

Position Summary

Hallmark YouthCare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist to provide psychological assessment, testing, and therapeutic services to children and adolescents ages 11–17. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality behavioral health services in a multidisciplinary setting.

Minimum Education

• Doctorate degree in Psychology.
• Must provide official transcripts from the accredited college or university of attendance within 30 days of hire.

Minimum Work Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the mental health field.
• At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in psychological testing and report writing preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Eligible for licensure or currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• Must be certified or able to become certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Handle with Care.
• Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License in good standing if listed on Hallmark’s Approved Driver’s List.

• Knowledge of delivery of medical social services in varied healthcare settings and within the community.
• Strong group leadership, negotiation, and group dynamic skills.
• Excellent human relations and communication skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge and experience in program development.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population served (children and adolescents ages 11–17).
• Ability to communicate directly and effectively with physicians, community leaders, diverse client populations, families, and all levels of staff.
• Ability to complete assignments, reports, and documentation in a timely manner according to facility standards and established practices.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality, display maturity, and respond to situations with flexibility, diplomacy, and tact.
• Ability to apply rules, expectations, program philosophy, and behavior interventions appropriately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and software.

Expected Hours of Work:

M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
