Psychologist or Psychiatrist

Looking for a Psychologist or Psychiatrist to care for our Veterans in a clinic facility. You will be responsible to perform veterans' evaluations and medical opinions on the Veterans who are seeking disability from the military. The candidate will provide mental exams for the Veterans without treatment. The ideal candidate will be responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best care. Exams are one-time, non-treatment exams for individual Veterans in your area. Exams are guided by VA questionnaires on our secure, online portal for ease and efficiency. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The ideal candidate must have options to use your own office for telehealth if needed and must have own malpractice insurance. The candidate will get pay as 1099 independent contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Compensation and Pension Mental Examinations on Veterans
• Complete a thorough review of digital medical records
• Conduct mental assessment and evaluate traumatic brain injuries based on specific disability claims
• Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim.
• All exams will take place at approved facilities (Own office or per diem location) with own laptop and internet access provided.
• Must be able to perform exams a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted psychology license; Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited school.
• Active and unrestricted psychiatry license; active board certification or board eligibility; experience evaluating traumatic brain injuries; minimum 2 years of experience, ideally 3
• Design your own schedule
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Fully Licensed APA Accredited Psychologist or Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrist
• Lives within 50 miles driving distance to the needs, with closer proximity preferred.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary, Per diem, Locum tenens, PRN, Seasonal

Pay: $200.00 - $500.00 per day
