Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in curriculum development and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves teaching various subjects, mentoring students, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective classroom management skills and utilize innovative teaching methods to engage students.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach subjects such as Math, Creative Writing, Journalism, and Literacy Education.
• Utilize learning technology and instructional design strategies to enhance student learning.
• Provide mentoring and academic advising to students, helping them achieve their educational goals.
• Conduct standardized testing and assess student performance through various evaluation methods.
• Maintain organized classroom environments that promote positive behavior management.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practices in teaching.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
• Support special education initiatives and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Engage in research and utilize library services to enrich the curriculum.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Proven experience working with high school students in a classroom setting.
• Strong writing skills, including familiarity with AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and copy editing techniques.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills essential for effective classroom management.
• Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or academic advising is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and special education practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or education administration is advantageous but not required.
