Job Title: Psychometrician (Clinical Research)

IPTB Clinical Research is a high-performing, psychiatry-focused clinical trial site running Phase 2–4 studies. We’re hiring a Psychometrician to support study execution through high-quality rater assessments, visit flow planning, and tight coordination with the PI and clinical operations team.
What you’ll do
- Perform psychometric/rating scale assessments per protocol (rater-administered and clinician-rated instruments).
- Support protocol planning and feasibility with IPTB leadership and the Principal Investigator.
- Build and maintain visit flow plans and study-specific supporting docs (visit checklists, subject binders, delegation logs, etc.).
- Review and provide assessment support for study subject EEG and neuroimaging test results (as applicable per protocol/site workflow).
- Ensure accurate, timely data entry and documentation in EDC/IRT/CTMS and other sponsor systems.
- Coordinate with Accounting to support timely invoicing and documentation of invoiceable events.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure supplies are ordered and vendor relationships are managed.
- Participate in start-up activities (PSSVs, SIVs) and serve as a primary point of contact for CROs/CRAs and external partners as needed.
- Track and help improve key performance metrics (deviations, data quality indicators); drive action-item follow-through.
- Support internal training completion and communicate delays/issues to the start-up/ops team.
- Assist with monitoring visits and ensure follow-up letters/queries are addressed promptly.
- Lead or support internal QC processes and escalate issues per SOPs.
- Partner closely with Recruitment and Clinical Operations on study needs, trends, and operational issues.
- Help improve systems and workflows that reduce deviations and improve execution across studies.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
- Prior experience administering psychometric/rating scales in a clinical research setting (preferred in CNS/neuropsychiatry).
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working in regulated, protocol-driven environments.
- Ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines without dropped balls.
- Clear, professional communication with patients, sponsors/CROs, and internal staff.
- Comfort with research systems (EDC/IRT/CTMS) and documentation standards.
- On-site availability in Tampa, FL.
Nice to have
- Experience with EEG/neuroimaging workflows in research (review support, coordination, interpretation workflows as applicable).
- Experience supporting Phase 2–4 clinical trials.
- Interest in growth path toward Sub-Investigator responsibilities (as appropriate and per training/delegation).
Growth path
IPTB anticipates this role may progress into a Sub-Investigator role upon completion of applicable training, delegation, and demonstrated readiness.
