We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, family, and couples counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and other evidence-based approaches.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Provide specialized counseling for issues including grief, addiction, PTSD care, gender identity concerns, chronic pain management, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and working with people with disabilities or geriatrics.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote therapy sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring secure medical documentation.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding standards to accurately document mental health conditions and treatment progress in medical records.
- Engage in case management activities such as patient assessment, data collection for clinical research, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Apply social work principles and behavior management techniques to support patients’ social functioning and behavioral goals.
- Maintain detailed medical records with appropriate medical terminology while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development by staying current with clinical research trends and best practices in behavioral health.
Experience
- Proven experience in psychotherapy or clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, group therapy, behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), addiction counseling, grief counseling, and working with children or pediatrics.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic purposes and CPT coding for billing processes.
- Strong telehealth experience ensuring seamless virtual patient care delivery while maintaining confidentiality standards.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions and experience managing medical records securely under HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
- Background in working with diverse populations including geriatrics and those with chronic pain or complex mental health needs.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in hospital or clinic environments is highly desirable.
