Stairlift for Vets is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mobility aids to veterans and individuals in need. We specialize in repairing and maintaining wheelchairs, stairlifts, and other mobility devices, helping improve quality of life for those who have served and others with mobility challenges.

Position: Shop Hand and Driver (Local Applicants Only)

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on individual to join our team as a Shop Hand and Technician. This role involves assisting with repairs, organizing the workshop, and picking up equipment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, organized, and have access to a truck for transporting mobility aids.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the repair and maintenance of mobility devices, including wheelchairs and stairlifts.
• Pick up equipment (2-5 times per week) using your own truck; mileage reimbursement is provided.
• Organize and maintain a clean, efficient storage unit shop space.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical skills and experience using common tools.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable truck.
• Ability to lift and transport mobility aids.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
