Part-Time Nanny Manager (20 Guaranteed Hours)

Location: Ravenswood – Chicago, IL
Start Date: Flexible (March or April preferred)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
Guaranteed: 20 hours per week + PTO offered
Compensation: $25–$30/hour DOE

A warm and growing Ravenswood family is seeking an experienced Part-Time Nanny Manager to care for their two children, ages 5 and 2, with a new baby arriving in May. A Newborn Care Specialist will be supporting the infant in the early months, so the primary focus at the start of this role will be on the older children.

This position is ideal for a professional nanny who loves engaging children of all ages, can confidently manage afternoon routines, and is happy to assist with light household support during downtime.

About the Role

• Care for a 5-year-old (in school full-time) and a 2-year-old (currently in part-time preschool, transitioning to full-time)
• School and summer camps are within walking distance
• Occasional work-related driving using the family car (clean driving record required)

Key Responsibilities

• Childcare (Primary Focus)
• School and camp pick-up
• Engaged, age-appropriate play and activities
• Support daily routines and transitions
• Prepare snacks and assist with simple meal prep
• Maintain a nurturing and structured environment

Household Support (Completed During Downtime)

• Tidy children’s areas and common spaces
• Children’s laundry (occasional family laundry)
• Light meal prep such as chopping vegetables and prepping proteins
• Occasional family errands
• Meal cleanup/dishes

A housekeeper is employed for deep cleaning; this role focuses on organization and maintaining daily household flow.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children
• Comfortable supporting a growing family with a newborn
• Flexible and adaptable as schedules shift
• Organized and proactive
• Attentive and playful
• Comfortable with a parent working from home
• Flu and Tdap vaccinations required
• CPR certification required

Flexibility

• Occasional evenings and weekends as needed
• Increased flexibility is required in the fall, as one parent has a busy season that may require additional weekend hours
