This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate seeking to gain professional experience in marketing, communications, publishing, or ministry-related content production.

World Changers Church International is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Proofreader to serve as the final quality control step for all written content produced by our Marketing Department. This role ensures all communications are accurate, clear, consistent, and publication-ready before release.

The Proofreader plays a vital role in maintaining the quality, credibility, and integrity of our digital, print, and ministry communications. This position serves as the final human review before content is distributed to our congregation, partners, and community.

Key Responsibilities

• Proofread a variety of content, including emails, text message campaigns, marketing materials, devotionals, articles, sermon notes, broadcast materials, books, and other publications
• Review content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, consistency, and readability
• Verify names, dates, references, and factual information for accuracy
• Ensure consistency in tone, style, and presentation across communications
• Serve as the final review step before content is published, distributed, or posted online
• Collaborate with Marketing leadership to support weekly and monthly content production schedules
• Provide clear, actionable feedback and corrections while meeting established deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required or expected within current academic year
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to review content efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, student organization, campus publication, writing center, communications, editorial, or marketing experience
• Experience proofreading academic, editorial, marketing, or ministry-related content
• Familiarity with content creation and publishing workflows
• Experience reviewing faith-based or church-related content is a plus

Schedule & Work Environment

• Part-time position averaging 20 hours per week
• Onsite position located in College Park, Georgia
• Set, predictable weekly schedule required
• Work is performed in a collaborative, ministry-focused environment with structured content workflows
