P/T Tax/Finance Clerk

Seeking a responsible individual to support the tax collector/accounts payable functions of the Borough of New Milford. Responsibilities include administrative work supporting the billing and collection of taxes, payment processing, deposits, financial record/payment reconciliation and interaction with residents. Position requires strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills, detail oriented, proficient in math and Microsoft Office. 27.5 hours per week - $22/hr. E.O.E. Skills

  • Familiarity with general accounting principles
  • Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Computer savvy - easily adapt to new software programs
  • Working knowledge of relevant software (Microsoft Office)
  • Highly proficient math and numerical skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in accounting/business administration is a plus

Pay: $22.00 per hour
